Program Overview
A distinctive characteristic of the educational program is the opportunity for master's students not only to acquire a complex of knowledge related to information technology and software engineering but also to acquire the skills and abilities to define the goals of implementing secure unmanned automated systems, to present the result of such implementation for enterprises in the innovative and high-tech sectors of the economy, in organizations of small, medium and large businesses. The program is focused on specialists in the field of information technology, information security, who need not only to deepen their knowledge in the field of modern information technologies, unmanned technologies but also to develop competencies in the field of information security; managers who need to study the peculiarities of solving tasks of process and project management in the field of innovative developments. The target audience is not only bachelor's and specialist's degree graduates continuing their education in master's programs but also established professionals with work experience who need to enhance their competencies for further career growth. Approaches to learning: along with traditional educational technologies, e-learning technologies and distance educational technologies in the electronic information-educational environment of the Southern Federal University are used to implement the educational program. Lectures and other forms of contact work of students with the teacher can be conducted using the platforms Microsoft Teams, Moodle (BigBlueButton), etc., which allows for online and offline interaction between the teacher and students within the discipline. The main methods of current control are electronic accounting and monitoring of students' academic achievements (using the point-rating system service; maintaining an electronic grade book, conducting electronic testing, and applying other control means using the e-learning system).

The program enables graduates to develop competencies in the design, development, and maintenance of unmanned automated systems with secure implementation at all stages of the life cycle, giving them the opportunity to comprehensively develop their ideas, create action plans for implementing prototypes and industrial samples of individual systems, and determine directions for further development of the proposed project. The uniqueness of the program lies in the fact that it prepares master's students for positions as heads of departments for scientific research and development in accordance with current professional standards. In this regard, the program provides for the acquisition of knowledge in diagnosing information protection systems for unmanned automated systems (UAS), substantiating the need for information protection in UAS, developing models of relevant security threats for UAS, developing architectures for UAS protection systems, conducting pre-project surveys of service activities and information needs of automated departments, and applying scientific methods for evaluating the effectiveness of technologies in the field of UAS development and management.
