Program Overview
Master's students actively participate in project activities, joining mixed student project teams as Team Leaders. By solving problems within project activities, master's students gain experience in team management and innovative projects. Project topics are provided by industrial partners and implemented in the laboratory. Project results are presented in open defenses before clients; students regularly win prizes at conferences of various levels, participate in competitions, and receive Russian Federation patents for inventions. During the first semester, all master's students are assigned to scientific supervisors who accompany them throughout the entire period of study. The department hosts an annual conference for students, young scientists, and graduate students, which is attended by students from Russian universities and countries from near and far abroad including the DPR (Donetsk People's Republic), Mongolia, Syria, and Uzbekistan. Several teachers involved in the implementation of specialized disciplines of the program have a B2 level of foreign language proficiency, which allows them to form professional competencies while simultaneously improving language competence.

Why is it important to pursue a higher education?
The educational program is focused on training specialists in the design, research, production, and operation of control systems and equipment in the industrial sector and is oriented towards INDUSTRY 4.0 requirements. As a result, graduates of the program master methods of synthesis and analysis of control systems and equipment, modern computer technologies in managing technical systems, are able to develop and use modern software and hardware for research and design, control, technical diagnostics, and industrial testing of automatic and automated control systems. There is a high level of interest from partner companies and representatives of the real sector of the economy in the Rostov region and other regions of Russia in graduates of this field, which is confirmed by the existence of cooperation agreements and feedback from enterprises.
