Program Benefits

Prospects. Career & Employment

Graduates of the program have competencies in a wide range of tasks related to the implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) concept, modeling, design and deployment of next-generation multiservice infocommunication networks (5G). We prepare highly qualified specialists, who will be employed in various scientific and industrial organizations, as Radioelectronic Technologies companies and United Aircraft Corporations. Moreover, graduates are able to work in IT companies, enterprises developing telecommunication equipment, communication facilities, software-defined radio systems, mobile operators, operators of the television and radio broadcasting network, TV and radio companies. Graduates with a penchant for scientific activity are given the opportunity to enroll in the graduate school of Russian and foreign universities with the subsequent defense of a PhD thesis in the field of signal transmission, reception and processing.

Why is it important to pursue a higher education?

During education process students will study both the theoretical foundations of building infocommunication systems and networks, including 5G and IoT networks, and gain practical skills in working with modern infocommunication equipment: multiservice communication networks and switching systems; automated measuring instruments based on personal and industrial computers; digital devices for generating, converting and processing signals; microprocessor devices and systems on a chip; Programmable logic integrated circuits (FPGAs) and embedded systems. After graduates acquire the following skills and abilities that guarantee employment: the ability to perform modeling of objects and processes in order to analyze and optimize their parameters using modern application software packages; the ability to develop and provide software implementation of effective algorithms for solving formulated problems using modern programming languages (C, C++, Python); skills in organizing and conducting experimental research using modern measurement tools and methods; skills in ensuring the functioning of telecommunication equipment of multiservice networks; skills in designing electronic means of infocommunications.
