Program Overview
MA Resource Diplomacy is a pioneering program in the International Relations domain. The Resource Diplomacy comprehensively interprets ‘resource’—not merely as the utilization of access to natural assets, but as the recognition of human and environment as the paramount instrument in international relations. This approach seeks to foster collaboration, construct and maintain comprehensive security architecture, stimulate economic advancement, and exert political leverage. This encompasses public diplomacy initiatives, economic strategies, and bilateral or multilateral agreements aimed at negotiating resource governance, trade dynamics, and sustainable management practices, thereby influencing both national and international relationships in the process.
The ground-breaking MA Resource diplomacy comprises of two professional tracks. The first one “Water Diplomacy” enhances scientific knowledge and capacities to engage in water cooperation and diplomacy processes, as well as evolves professionals to contribute to the public debate and discourses on shared waters. Main topics include the core features of the concept of water diplomacy; Water diplomacy tools and processes; Legal, institutional and economic frameworks for water cooperation and diplomacy; Water resources assessment tools.
The revolutionary track “Human Behaviour Diplomacy” equips future IR professionals with the data driven comprehensive understanding and in-depth analysis of actors, processes and diplomacy handy tools. The core modules include Public and Data Diplomacy; Economic and Cultural Diplomacy; Global Governance and Conflict Resolution Methods.
