Program Overview

Teaching deductive thinking and other philosophical theories that helped to understand how a person was formed and how science developed. Philosophy is the way to the formation of a universal (nonspecialized) type of thinking. The formula here is simple: the formation of critical and abstract thinking, the pumping of "soft skills" and the development of creative abilities in the context of solving various problems (both scientific and managerial, and life). This program is aimed at those who want to learn how to always find the answer to the question: "What am I meant for?".

Program Benefits

Combination of basic and applied disciplines. The thinking brought up by philosophy allows a person to treat the subject of his activity creatively, from the perspective of the experience of all mankind, without experiencing it. The tasks that the mind of a narrowly sharpened specialist rests on are easily solved by a person with a universal philosophical education, since he can always put his problem in a wide context. At SFedU, the experience of teaching philosophy has more than half a century of history, and the Rostov Philosophical School has not just passed the test of time, but rightfully occupies a place in the top five philosophical schools of the country. The program as a whole is aimed at mastering the culture of thinking by students, which includes the development of a number of related skills and competencies. Development of skills of intercultural dialogue in conjunction with the education of a tolerant attitude to racial, national, religious differences of people, through the development of knowledge about the values of world and Russian culture (course of ethics, aesthetics, as well as theory and history of world culture).
