Program Overview

The program combines scientific and educational purposes e.g. organizing summer and winter schools, internships and student conferences. Study is combined with the extracurricular creative activities of students such as scientific clubs, amateur performances, volunteering and media activities of the Institute.

This program aims to train highly qualified specialists in history and social studies simultaneously. Graduates will get special historical knowledge and be highly qualified in the humanities. Students will also have a social and political scope and the skills necessary for scientific, social and humanities analysis. Such specialists are in high demand in the sphere of education. Prospects. Career & Employment

Our graduates can work in the sphere of education. Graduates can teach all general humanities and other socio-political disciplines at schools, in specialized institutions, colleges, universities etc. Graduates work in cultural centers and various types of museums. "Museum pedagogy" is the most important element of modern museum activity. Work in research-and-production organizations (e.g. the "Archaeological Expedition") and public organizations (e.g. the "Society for the Preservation of Historical and Cultural Monuments"). These organizations are searching for highly qualified pedagogical staff to carry out main goals and activities.

Why is it important to pursue a higher education?

This program focuses on developing specialists with high competencies in teaching history and social studies. The historic-cultural standards of modern education require an advanced study of Russian history within all humanities.
For teaching history specialists will expand their extensive knowledge of world history, philosophy, the basics of law and economics, the history of culture, and the history of religion. Additionally, the growing complexity of the system that assesses the quality of education requires teachers to not only have knowledge of their core subject but also the ability to expand their knowledge through related disciplines. So, teachers have to master the appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities constantly.
