Program Overview

Since the first term students are divided into project teams managed by mentors, teaching staff from the institute, external partners and master's students. Project topics are provided by industrial partners and carried out in the laboratory. Project results are presented in front of employers. Students regularly win prizes at conferences of different levels, participate in competitions, and receive Russian Federation grants for new inventions.
The Department holds an annual conference for students, young scientists, and postgraduates. Students from universities in Russia, Donetsk People`s Republic, Mongolia, Syria, and Uzbekistan can attend this conference.
All types of internships are conducted at enterprises in the real economic sector, including official employment during the practice period.
Based on the results of project activities and internships, students are included in the personnel of leading Russian companies and corporations.
The teaching staff have a foreign language proficiency level of B2. It enables them to develop professional competencies and improve their language skills.

Program Benefits

The program aims to satisfy the needs of specialized enterprises and guarantees employment for our graduates.
The educational program is implemented in laboratories of our external partners such as Laboratory of Automation and Internet of Things (IoT), Laboratory of Industrial Electronics and SMART Devices, Laboratory of Software and Cloud Technologies in Automation, Laboratory of Automatic Control Systems and Robotics etc. Students carry out real-world research for these partners such as programming industrial constructions and control robotic systems.
There is a joint educational program with Kyrgyz State Technical University named after Iskhak Razzakov in the 2+2. Agreements on the implementation of joint programs have been made with Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology.

Prospects. Career & Employment

Occupational Health and Safety Technicians, Clinical Laboratory Technologists, Zoologists and Wildlife Biologists, Microbiologists, Epidemiologists, Biomedical Engineers, Agricultural and Food Scientists, Medical Scientists, Biochemist and Biophysicists, Natural Sciences Managers, etc.

Why is it important to pursue a higher education?

Our graduates work as engineers, designers, programmers, and researchers in production, development, and IT. They also create their own small businesses in the field of automation system creation, control, and maintenance in the context of Industry 4.0. This includes new digital technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and AI.
During their studies students develop competence in mathematical and computer modeling of various objects and processes. They study how to develop intelligent control systems. Students also gain experience working with modern equipment used in production to control technological processes, e.g. industrial controllers and their programming, automation devices and integrated control systems.
