Program Overview

During the study, undergraduates get knowledge, skills and practical efficiency in the following areas:
- Programming in high-level languages (C, C++, Python).
- Graphical programming (LabVIEW, Simulink).
- Development of digital signal processing algorithms.
- Creation of embedded and on-chip systems.
- Design of communication networks and computer networks.
The profile disciplines of the educational program are realized in the Institute of Radio Engineering Systems and Control (IRTSU) based on three Departments: Theoretical Foundations of Radio Engineering, Antennas and Radio Transmitting Devices, Embedded and Radio Receiving Systems. The material, technical and professional opportunities allow teaching staff to provide interdisciplinarity during the whole period of education and give the student the opportunity to choose a wide range of specializations within the practical training such as research works, project activities and graduation thesis.

Program Benefits

The program “Intelligent Infocommunication Systems and Technologies” combines various research areas and practical applications in the field of modern info-communication technologies, the Internet of Things (IoT), applied programming, communication networks, signal processing systems, antennas and microwave devices.
The educational program is included in the strategic projects of SFU “Advanced Engineering School” and “Priority-2030”.
The program provides fundamental engineering training in mathematics, physics and radio electronics. It is the core for the development of both professional and management competencies of a specialist.
The program has a modular structure and consists of a part of general university disciplines, a part of compulsory professional disciplines, a module of variable professional disciplines and a module of project activity.
Within the module of project activity students conduct scientific research and solve the problems of industrial partners.
