Program Overview

The Educational Program combines general human and natural science training, extensive general education in IT technology and specialized training in AI technologies. As part of the education in humanitarian and natural sciences students study different subjects: «State system of Russia»; «History of Russia»; «Philosophy»; «Foreign language»; «Foreign language for business communication»; «First aid and emergency response»; «Economic and legal support of engineering activities», «Mathematics», «Discrete mathematics», «Physics» etc.
General and specialized training is aimed at:
– Training of students in basic knowledge of this sphere.
- How to present information on computers
- Modern algorithmic languages and their applications.
- Methods and means of developing algorithms, programs and their components.
- Structural and object-oriented programming techniques
- How to write algorithms in high-level languages
- How to debug programs
- Practical skills in programming languages like C++, C#, Python, Java, SQL, and NET;
- Design of program documentation.
– Learn the general professional skills needed to protect information technology; understand the basics of how modern operating systems work, how they are used, and how computer networks are used for different purposes etc.
- Training professionals to work with AI.
- Developing and testing smart information and software systems.
- Create algorithms using AI methods and tools; make knowledge formal and represent it; develop and apply machine learning methods, processing systems, and analyze large data sets.
- Create and use digital tools for AI like "computer vision," "natural language processing," and "recommender and support systems."
In addition to traditional educational technologies, electronic learning technologies and distance education technologies can be used for the implementation of program disciplines in electronic information and education environment. Lectures and seminars are conducted using Microsoft Teams, Cisco, Skype, Google Classroom, Zoom etc. It allows people to interact with each other both online and offline. In addition to the main education, students can take part in international exchange programs, scientific and practical conferences, work in student laboratories, establish their own start-up, participate in university life and engage in sports.

Program Benefits

The educational program was created with the agreement with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on September 28, 2021 (Agreement No. 075-15-2021-1048). It says that the Ministry gives money from the federal budget to develop bachelor's and master's degree programs in the field of "Artificial Intelligence (AI)." This agreement also creates an opportunity to improve the qualifications of teaching staff at educational organizations in the field of AI.
The educational program is based on the model of competencies in the field of Artificial Intelligence. It also focuses on the development of Artificial Intelligence systems. The educational program is developed with the help of different companies like "Scientific and Design Bureau of Computing Systems." These companies employ at least 10 developers who work on artificial intelligence and the development and implementation of artificial intelligence technologies.
