Program Overview

The program is aimed at preparation of highly-qualified bachelors for professional work in state, public and commercial organizations. The acquired competencies will give graduates the opportunity to find a job in the labor market, adapting to a variety of working conditions in the field of public and municipal administration, corporate structures and non-profit organizations. During the course of training, students receive knowledge in the field of land management and cadasters, with in-depth study of theoretical and practical aspects modern geoinformation technologies. The acquired knowledge will allow the graduate to successfully manage land resources and real estate objects; to maintain cadaster, registration and evaluation of real estate objects; to carry out surveying geodetic work, develop and implement geographic information systems in accordance with the requirements of information security. The development of universal and subject-specific competencies of the future specialists contributes to their social mobility and sustainability in the labor market.

A cadastral engineer is primarily engaged in land surveying. It includes determining the coordinates of the land plot boundaries, drawing up boundary plans, registration of documents necessary to secure ownership of land and its state registration. Graduates of the program will be able to work in the following organizations: Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography; Bureau of Technical Inventory; Federal Cadastral Chamber; tax inspectorate; departments of general plans of enterprises and institutions of a wide profile; banks (real estate valuation); departments of land and property relations of municipalities; property management committees; commercial enterprises engaged in cadastral, land management, and valuation activities.
